New UNL Intern Joins NAPE/AFSCME Field Team this Spring

Say hello to the newest member of the NAPE/AFSCME staff! In January, our team welcomed Cassidy Bell as an intern for this spring.

Cassidy, a sophomore at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, is double majoring in political science and Spanish. She plans to attend law school after she graduates. Before joining NAPE/AFSCME, Cassidy was an administrative aide for Nebraska Senator Danielle Conrad.

Eager to dive head-first into the labor movement, Cassidy is most looking forward to learning about union involvement and connecting with members. “Unions are the foundation of our country. I love that I get to work for a union. I’m genuinely a big fan of the labor movement and I’m excited to learn more,” Cassidy said.

During her free time, you’ll find Cassidy reading, playing guitar and singing, and working out. She is also an active student on campus and is involved in several organizations. If you see Cassidy at an event or stop in our office, make sure to give her a warm welcome!
