NAPE/AFSCME is proud to announce that we have reached an agreement with the State of Nebraska to pay DHHS Social Services Workers & Leads double time (2 times the hourly rate) for all overtime hours worked from September 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023. Additionally time worked in excess of a normal scheduled shift on a holiday will be paid at 2.5 times the normal rate of pay through June 30, 2023.
We hope this extra incentive will continue to encourage members to volunteer for overtime assignments as they will continue to be necessary for some time. We will enter negotiations for our next contract in just a few weeks. It is time for us to unite together and demand a fair wage for Social Services Workers.
