Our Nebraska State College System support staff negotiations team has reached a tentative agreement with the Nebraska State College System on a new labor contract to run from July 1, 2025-June 30, 2027. The tentative agreement maintains our salary schedule with 5% steps every three years, includes inflationary increases to the salary schedule, allows for some comp time payout, and maintains our retirement incentive programs.
In order to complete the negotiations process, union members must vote to accept or reject the tentative agreement through the process known as “ratification.” Union members will exercise their right to vote at ratification meetings in January on each campus or online. The ratification meeting schedule is as follows:
Chadron – Tuesday, January 7 – 11:00am – Student Center – Scottsbluff Room
Peru – Monday, January 13 – 11:00am – Student Center – Burr Oak Room
Wayne – Thursday, January 9 – 1:30pm – Conn Library – Room 016
Virtual – Monday, January 13 – 7pm central/6pm mountain – Click here to join the meeting.
All meetings will last less than one hour, and we will go over all the details of the tentative agreement and answer any questions you may have prior to voting. You are able to flex your lunch period in order to attend the ratification meeting. Just let your supervisor know, and if you have any trouble, please let us know and we will be happy to help. Only NAPE/AFSCME members have the right to vote and attend a ratification meeting. Non-members who join our union prior to any ratification meeting are welcome to attend and vote. We look forward to continuing to grow for even more power at the bargaining table in the future!
