NAPE/AFSCME has reached a tentative agreement with the Nebraska State College System on a new contract for 200 support staff employees to run from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2023. Highlights of the tentative agreement include:
- Major wage increases for those in salary grades 3-6
- Wage increases for all employees
- Additional salary step for those with 25+ years of experience
In order for the tentative agreement to become final, NAPE members must vote to accept the agreement at a ratification meeting. While only NAPE members can vote to ratify the agreement, all employees are welcome to attend a meeting. Non-members can join at the meeting and vote immediately. NAPE will host ratification meetings on each college campus as follows:
Chadron State – January 19 – 3pm & 5pm – Student Center
Peru State – January 14 – 3:15pm, 4:15pm & 5:15pm – Little Red School House
Wayne State – January 20 – 2pm & 5pm – Conn Library Room 208
