Tentative Agreement Includes 10-27% Salary Increases For All NAPE/AFSCME Members
Ratification Meetings Begin January 9
Behind the energy, support, and action of union members, our contract negotiations team is proud to announce that it has reached a tentative contract agreement with the State of Nebraska for the July 1, 2023-June 30, 2025 biennium.
The tentative agreement ensures that all NAPE/AFSCME members will see the largest salary increases in the thirty-five year history of the State Employees Collective Bargaining Act. Over the course of the biennium, all NAPE/AFSCME members will see their salaries increase between 10-27% if the tentative agreement is ratified by union members.
The final step of the negotiations process is for union members to vote whether to accept or reject this tentative agreement. This process is called ratification. Union members will cast their vote at ratification meetings held around the state (both in person and online) between January 9-26. If you are not a union member, you can join today and have the right to vote at a ratification meeting.
All of the details of the tentative agreement will be shared at the ratification meetings. Further details will not be released until after union members have had the chance to cast their ballots at ratification meetings. Non-members are welcome to attend any ratification meeting to learn more. To view a ratification schedule, and to learn more about the ratification process, please click here.
The negotiations team looks forward to sharing the details of this historic agreement with our members in the coming weeks at the ratification meetings. If you are not yet a union member, please join us and participate in this final step of the negotiations process. Together we stood united and firm, and we delivered the message that it is time to #InvestInStateEmployees.
