NAPE/AFSCME members at the State of Nebraska (code and non-code agencies) have ratified a new labor contract containing record salary increases that will take effect on July 1, 2023 and run through June 30, 2025. The contract was ratified in each bargaining unit as follows:
Bargaining Unit A – 92% in favor, 47% voter turnout
Bargaining Unit C – 97% in favor, 36% voter turnout
Bargaining Unit E – 97% in favor, 55% voter turnout
Bargaining Unit H – 83% in favor, 46% voter turnout
Bargaining Unit I – 98% in favor, 33% voter turnout
Bargaining Unit M – 96% in favor, 55% voter turnout
Bargaining Unit S – 94% in favor, 32% voter turnout
Bargaining Unit X – 90% in favor, 52% voter turnout
On July 1, 2023, minimum salaries will increase by either 5%, 10%, 15%, or 20% based on job classification. Additionally, members who had a satisfactory performance evaluation in 2022, or completed initial probation by December 31, 2022, will advance two-steps on the salary schedule. That equates to a salary increase of 7%+ to 22%+. Click here to use our salary calculator to determine your raise.
On July 1, 2024, minimum salaries will increase by an additional 2%, plus members who had a satisfactory performance evaluation in 2023, will advance three-steps on the salary schedule. That equates to an additional increase of 5%+. Over the course of the biennium, members with satisfactory performance will see salary increases between 12-27%+.
