The 2024 AFSCME Delegate Assembly & Convention will be held in Los Angeles, California from August 11-16, 2024. The AFSCME Delegate Assembly & Convention is the highest decision making body of our union. Every two years, delegates from AFSCME locals, councils, and retiree chapters throughout the country participate in a week’s worth of debate, skills learning, union elections, and other activities.
Nominations for delegates to the 2024 AFSCME Delegate Assembly & Convention are now open through May 10, 2024. NAPE members will elect six delegates to represent our local at the 2024 AFSCME Delegate Assembly. NAPE President Melissa Haynes (DHHS, Fremont) is an automatic delegate. To nominate a fellow union member click here. The deadline for nominations to be received is 4pm central time on May 10, 2024. Any eligible NAPE member can nominate themselves or another eligible member.
The election will take place electronically from May 15-May 31, 2024. Members will receive an email with a unique link to an electronic ballot from our election vendor. All ballots must be cast no later than 4pm central time on May 31, 2024. Members who do not have email access must contact our office to make alternative voting arrangements.
