Union members are ready to have their voices heard at the ballot box on November 5! While the presidential election gets a lot of attention, it’s important that NAPE/AFSCME members elect candidates who support working class Nebraskans up and down the ballot, especially in the unicameral legislature.
NAPE/AFSCME members have an opportunity to elect fellow union members Dave Wordekemper (LD15 – Fremont) and Dan Quick (LD35 – Grand Island) to the Nebraska Legislature and Dan Osborn to the US Senate in this election.
The NAPE/AFSCME Government Affairs Committee (GAC) is a bipartisan group of union members that monitors legislation and political matters important to our union members. The GAC interviewed dozens of legislative candidates to learn about their positions on topics important to State of Nebraska employees. Click here to read summaries of the candidate interviews.
