We have upcoming weekend leadership training in Scottsbluff (Saturday, September 13-Sunday, September 14) and Omaha (Friday, November 14-Saturday, November 15). These weekend training sessions are a great opportunity for you to hone your leadership skills so that you can help us get organized and grow our union to have a stronger voice in the workplace.
Stewards are worksite leaders trained on our contract and the law to assist their fellow employees in the workplace. They are also workplace communicators who convey important information to their colleagues about our union and they help grow our union by talking to their colleagues about the importance of union membership.
Any NAPE/AFSCME member is welcome to attend any training. After initial training, each subsequent training is different, so feel free to sign up for as many training sessions as you like. Meals will be provided during the training, and members traveling from outside the training city will have a hotel room provided by NAPE/AFSCME.
