The final year of our current collective bargaining agreement with the State of Nebraska begins on July 1, 2026. Union members fought hard at the negotiating table to win additional raises for all employees that take effect July 1.
NAPE/AFSCME members who work at a state code or non-code agency can use our online salary calculator to calculate their July 1 pay raise. Members with a satisfactory 2025 performance evaluation or who came off original probation prior to January 1, 2026 will see at least a 3.25% salary increase.
Members who did not have a satisfactory or better performance evaluation or those who did not complete initial probation before January 1, 2026, will still see at least a 2.25% salary increase. These salary increases will be reflected in payroll checks partially on July 22, 2026 and fully on August 5, 2026. Be sure to check your paycheck for accuracy.
State College and Department of Education members can view salary increases in their respective contracts or contact us for assistance calculating your raise.
These hard-won raises are thanks to union members who united together to advocate for all State of Nebraska employees. We will begin negotiating our new union contract later this summer. If you’re not a union member, now is the time to join your union and add your voice to grow our power at the bargaining table.
