Our next NAPE/AFSCME leadership training weekends will take place in Scottsbluff on August 29 & 30 and in Lincoln on November 14 & 15. Leadership training weekends are open to all NAPE/AFSCME union members.
First time attendees will participate in our initial union steward training course. Union stewards are workplace leaders who are trained on our contract to assist fellow employees. Stewards are trained on our rights under our union contract, representation skills, and ways to organize and lead in the workplace.
Returning union stewards will refresh their contract knowledge, practice skills like representing members in disciplinary meetings, learn how to present new employee union orientation, review our legal protections, and more.
NAPE/AFSCME will cover the cost of hotels for those who are traveling from out of town and provide meals during the training. All members are welcome to attend. We hope to see you there! Space is limited so register today!
