During the summer, NAPE/AFSCME welcomed two new Field Representatives to our staff! Erica Koppenhoefer and Suzanne Ogilvie will protect the rights of our members, organize new members, help develop member leaders, and much more to support our union.
Erica is a former NAPE/AFSCME member from her time working at the Nebraska State Historical Society. She saw the benefits of a strong union as a state employee, and she’s excited to organize new NAPE/AFSCME members and grow our union to have an even stronger voice on the job.
Erica loves learning and teaching and can’t wait to educate our members about their rights. Outside of work, Erica is an avid reader and loves arts and crafts.
Suzanne earned her undergraduate degree in political science at the University of Oregon. While at the University of Oregon, Suzanne and 2,000 of her fellow student workers voted with 97% in favor of unionizing with the United Auto Workers. These student workers became the first wall-to-wall undergraduate student worker union in the country.
Suzanne loves meeting new people, and she can’t wait to help NAPE/AFSCME members enforce their rights on the job. Outside of work, Suzanne loves cooking and baking, and she makes a great risotto!
