All NAPE/AFSCME members are invited to attend our winter leadership training weekend in Lincoln on December 12 & 13. This is your opportunity to learn more about your rights on the job, and take an active role in our union and at the work place.
First time attendees will complete training regarding our rights under our labor contract and the law, as well as how to communicate, organize, lead, and represent fellow employees in the workplace.
Returning members will refine their skills to identify contract violations, represent members in pre-disciplinary meetings, review rights under the FMLA and ADA, performance evaluations, and our rights in the event of a layoff. All attendees will learn how to get more involved in our union, as well as take direct action to help our contract negotiations team reach our goals at the bargaining table.

NAPE/AFSCME will cover the cost of hotel rooms for members traveling from outside of Lincoln, as well as provide meals to all attendees during the weekend. Training will take place at NAPE/AFSCME Headquarters, 1230 O Street, Suite 120 from 9am-4pm on Saturday, December 12, and 9am-2pm on Sunday, December 13. Space is limited, so sign up today!
