Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen has directed state code agencies to prepare to cut their budgets by 10% prior to the beginning of the legislative session in January. He has also asked non-code agencies to do the same. The governor’s office stated these cuts will directly lead to the elimination of state jobs.
Our union contract contains negotiated procedures, protections, and rights in the event of a layoff – also called a Reduction in Force (RIF). It’s important for union members to understand their rights. We will be hosting the following training sessions for union members:
