Step Pay Is Here!

With our new contract taking effect July 1, a number of exciting changes are taking place. NAPE will continue our meetings across the state throughout the month of July to educate members about the changes in the new contract.

During these meetings, we will explain the ins and outs of the new step pay plan which will allow employees to move toward their classification maximum each year. This is a huge victory for state employees that will recognize and reward experience to dedicated civil servants!   • A $12/hour minimum salary for all employees
  • 50% increase in on-call pay
  • Increase to shift differential for 3rd shift employees
  • Columbus Day & Injury Pay returned to the “E” Bargaining Unit
  • Negotiated Evaluation Procedure
  • No changes to sick/vacation leave or minimum insurance coverage
