Learn More About Bargaining Conference Elections on February 9

The NAPE/AFSCME Bargaining Conference is a biennial meeting of elected union members who serve as delegates to represent the membership to determine our priorities for contract negotiations. Delegates also elect members to the union’s negotiations team. Our union makes its negotiations priorities by democratic vote, with the delegates serving as representatives of the full membership.

The 2022 Bargaining Conference will take place in Lincoln July 16-17, 2022. Members elected to the Bargaining Conference will have their travel and expenses to/from Lincoln reimbursed in accordance with the NAPE member travel policy. Members will elect 45 delegates to the bargaining conference, to serve alongside 20 members of the Board of Directors who are automatic delegates. Nominations for delegate will be accepted in March, with a mail-in election conducted in April.

If you are interested in running for delegate, we encourage you to learn more about the nominations, elections, and bargaining conference process at a members only webinar on Wednesday, February 9 at 7pm central time. All members are welcome to attend the webinar to learn more about the bargaining conference and elections process. Please register in advance for the webinar by clicking here.
