500+ Attend Contract Negotiation Town Hall Meetings

More than 500 State of Nebraska employees attended town hall meetings in May and June to share their priorities for upcoming contract negotiations. In addition to discussions at the town hall meetings, members wrote their priorities on cards that are now displayed at our headquarters in Lincoln. Union members are motivated and excited about our upcoming contract negotiations.

Some of the priorities that were consistently shared across the state were: pay raises greater than inflation, additional sick leave payout, retirement incentives, guaranteed remote work opportunities, paid parental leave, bilingual premium pay, and many more!

The priorities shared by members will be considered by member-elected delegates at the 2024 Bargaining Conference in July. Click here for the list of delegates. The Bargaining Conference is the biennial meeting of our union where elected member delegates determine our negotiations priorities. The delegates will vote to finalize our negotiations priorities and elect eight fellow delegates to serve as members of the state contract negotiation team.

We are ready to unite together this fall to negotiate the best possible contract. We will keep growing, and our record strength will give us more power at the bargaining table. If you’re not yet a union member, it’s not too late to get involved. Click here to become a member today!
