The final year of our current collective bargaining agreement with the State of Nebraska begins on July 1, 2024. Union members fought hard at the negotiating table to win additional raises for all employees that take effect July 1.
NAPE/AFSCME members who work at a state code and non-code agency can use our salary calculator to calculate their July 1 pay raise. Members with a satisfactory 2023 performance evaluation or who came off original probation prior to January 1, 2024 will see at least a 5% salary increase.
Members who did not have a satisfactory or better performance evaluation or those with less than a year of state service on July 1, 2024, will still see a 2% salary increase. Click here to calculate your pay raise. These salary increases will be reflected in payroll checks on July 24.
These hard-won raises are thanks to union members who united together to advocate for all State of Nebraska employees. We will begin negotiating our new union contract later this summer. If you’re not yet a union member, now is the time to join. We have strength in numbers. Become a union member today to help us negotiate the best possible contract this year.
