Our union is stronger than ever with new members joining every day, and an impressive 100+ new members joined in the last month. We’re more than 3,300 members strong – a record high – and will continue to grow for strength as we negotiate for competitive wages and better benefits.
Our growth is largely due to Volunteer Member Organizers (VMOs) who are passionate about growing our union. Our recent growth is because these union leaders visited worksites and talked with people at their homes about the importance of union membership and our contract negotiations priorities. Because of their hard work and dedication, we are stronger than ever.
NAPE/AFSCME members have a stronger voice on the job because of our growth. We’re stronger together, and members stand up for each other’s rights when our union contract is violated. Our negotiations team has been working hard to win the best possible contract at the negotiations table and the more we grow, the stronger our voices are.
