These weekend trainings are a great opportunity for you to hone your leadership skills so that you can help us get organized and grow our union to have a stronger voice in the workplace.
Stewards are worksite leaders trained on our contract and the law to assist their fellow employees in the workplace. They are also workplace communicators who convey important information to their colleagues about our union and they help grow our union by talking to their colleagues about the importance of union membership.

Weekend Leadership Trainings in 2025 will take place on:
- Friday, April 11-Saturday, April 12- Lincoln
- Friday, June 27-Saturday, June 28-Lincoln
- Saturday, September 13-Sunday, September 14-Scottsbluff
- Friday, November 14-Saturday, November 15-Lincoln
Any NAPE/AFSCME member is welcome to attend the trainings. After initial training, each subsequent training is different, so feel free to sign up for as many trainings as you like.
