2025-2027 Board of Directors Election Results, Run Off Voting April 4-14

In March, NAPE/AFSCME members voted to elect twenty members to serve on the Board of Directors for the 2025-2027 term. The following members were elected and will be sworn in on May 31, 2025 at NAPE Headquarters in Lincoln. Full election results are available here.

Eastern Area Representative – Daniel Buchanan (DHHS, Beatrice)

Western Area Representative – Adam Hathaway (NDOT, Sidney)

Northern Area Representative – Carrie Leffler (DHHS, Center)

Southern Area Representative – Lindsey Eads (NDVA, Kearney)

Lincoln Area Representatives – Erika Robles (Revenue) & Mackenzie Marrow (Library Commission)

Omaha Area Representative – Francisca Morales (NDVA, Bellevue) 

DHHS Representative – Miguel Nieto Lopez (Lincoln)

NDOT Representative – Tim Miller (Ravenna)

State Agency Representatives – Dan DeJong (Environment & Energy), Jason Baker (Blind & Visually Impaired Commission)

Department of Education Representative – Katherine Knutzen (Columbus)

State Colleges Representative – Kelly Overshiner (Chadron)

Richardson County Representative – Bryan Dettmann (Falls City)

At Large Representatives – Amy Peters (DHHS, Lincoln), Kelly Kopejtka (DHHS, Fremont), and Sally Merker (DHHS, Lincoln)

Run off elections in three races are necessary as our bylaws require each candidate to be elected by a majority vote. Runoff ballots will be emailed and texted to members eligible to vote on April 4. Runoff ballots must be submitted by April 14.

DHHS members will choose between Kerrin Packard (La Vista) and Michael Henry (Lincoln) for the final DHHS Representative.

Members working for state agencies other than DHHS and NDOT will choose between Mary Schmidt-Rodriguez (Military, Lincoln) and Dawn Archuleta (Corrections, Lincoln) for the final State Agency Representative.

Supervisory members will choose between Bryce Holmes (NDOT, Omaha) and Teresa Menking (DHHS, Fremont) to serve as Supervisory Representative.
