NAPE/AFSCME Volunteer Member Organizers (VMO’s) will be visiting with state employees all across Nebraska from July 20-26 to chat and answer questions about our new two-year labor contract. VMOs will also be passing out union goodie bags, so be sure to stop by and visit the VMOs at your worksite to get some NAPE/AFSCME treats.
VMO Erika Robles, a Senior Revenue Agent with the Department of Revenue said, “I’m excited to be out and about to talk to state employees about our new contract, the great new benefits, and what they want to see in our next contract,” said Erika. VMOs will be able to answer questions about the contract and pay raises.
VMO Dan DeJong, an Environmental Specialist at the Department of Water, Environment & Energy loves to visit with employees to get their stories and help solve problems. “Getting to talk with employees one-on-one helps me be a better union leader,” said Dan. “I served on the negotiations team for our new contract, and I always remember the stories I hear and amplify our members’ voices.”
