Starting July 1, 2021, State of Nebraska employees will begin working under a new contract negotiated by NAPE. With the new contract in place, a number of exciting changes will be coming your way. NAPE will be hosting a number of meetings across the state of Nebraska throughout the month of June and July to educate members about the exciting changes in the new contract.
During these meetings, we will explain the ins and outs of the new step pay plan which will allow employees to move toward their classification maximum each year. This is a huge victory for state employees that will recognize and reward experience as a dedicated civil servant! - A $12/hour minimum salary for all employees
- 50% increase in on-call pay
- Increase to shift differential for 3rd shift employees
- Columbus Day & Injury Pay returned to the “E” Bargaining Unit
- Negotiated Evaluation Procedure
- No changes to sick/vacation leave or minimum insurance coverage
