State Colleges Bargaining Team Stands Firm For Higher Wages

Our State Colleges support staff bargaining team has been working hard at the bargaining table on the negotiations priorities set by our members at Chadron, Peru, and Wayne State Colleges. In addition to wage increases that outpace inflation and insurance increases, the team has been focused on cash payment for overtime hours worked, additional salary lanes for those with 30+ years of service, and anniversary-based salary increases.

Negotiations progress has been slow so far, with representatives of the Board of Trustees proposing to eliminate early retirement incentives. Additionally, the College System has not proposed a salary increase that is greater than inflation and likely 2025 insurance increases.

Our negotiations team remains committed to reaching our goals and will be back at the bargaining table in December. The deadline to complete negotiations is December 31. State College members should watch their email for further updates.
