NAPE/AFSCME union members are preparing for contract negotiations with the State of Nebraska that will begin later this summer. Hundreds of state employees attended our town hall meetings in May and June to discuss what they want to see in our next labor contract.
Now it’s time to add your voice. Take our contract negotiations survey and provide your input and feedback about the key priorities that were discussed at our town hall meetings. The survey should take ten to fifteen minutes to complete.
The results of the survey will be shared with attendees to our Contract Negotiation Summit which will take place in Lincoln from July 31-August 2. All NAPE/AFSCME union members are invited to attend. Our final negotiations proposals and members who will represent us on the negotiations will be selected at the Summit.
In the past year, 800 state employees have become new union members. With a major state budget deficit, it is important that we unite to protect public services by using our collective power to negotiate the best contract possible. If you are not a NAPE/AFSCME member, join your union today and stand with us for a stronger contract.
